Making art is my personal form of meditation, a way of acquiring peace in this whirlwind of a life. It feels as though inspiration is everywhere; I gather mine anywhere from nature to the junkyard. Instead of focusing on particular subjects, I go with the flow and follow my heart as I am working on each individual piece. Many times I do not know which direction my art will take. My process involves many layers of paint and collage, giving my work a textural appearance. I continue working until the piece truly speaks to me and feels finished and well balanced. My goal as an artist is to continue experimenting and advancing my creative skills, and just enjoy the process.
